I finally took the time to import all of the posts from my old blog (which actually was quite a bit easier than I had imagined it would be), so now I can start the process of redirecting those domains to this one. The plan is to nix two of my older domains when they expire, one of which I’ve maintained for over five years, and possibly two newer ones as well. I’m fast approaching my 100th post, which isn’t really monumental, but I guess I should think of something at least somewhat extraordinary to write about.
There was a baptism in our ward today, which was really awesome for two reasons (in addition to the whole entering into the kingdom of God aspect): First, in a BYU student ward, it’s extremely rare to ever have somewhere our age get baptized — either they are already a member of the Church when they enroll, or they’re strong in another denomination. Second, much of the baptismal service was in Spanish, and I could still understand everything! Yea for being bilingual!
I think it helped that I only needed to know Church-related vocabulary. Had the discussion been on any other topic, I seriously doubt that I could have kept up with the conversation quite as well.
As for the travel poll, I also have to weigh in the facts that I did go to Guatemala just last summer and also that one of my friends may be getting married in DC, so I might be headed there anyway.
