Highly subversive

Yesterday, I gave a presentation at work on Subversion, to which we are switching after years on CVSNT. We’ve been (or, more accurately, my boss has been) careful not to use any of the non-standard CVS features in CVSNT, so hopefully the conversion will go smoothly. My presentation mainly touched on the differences between CVS and Subversion and basic usage of the svn command-line client as well as TortoiseSVN. Thanks to a lot of good questions and comments from my co-workers, I was actually able to fill the entire 90 minutes. And, even more importantly, it will be a while before I have to give another presentation!

For those who are unfamiliar with CVS and Subversion, they are version control systems. In other words, they are capable of tracking changes to file systems and their contents, which enables multiple people to work on the same document/project and then merge their collective modifications.
