Yesterday, I had the privilege of spending over 11 hours in the TMCB, 9.5 of them working on a project for CS 345. In theory, the project should have taken a total of six hours (according to the professor), but the project was based on a single source file not the best for dividing work between group members. By the time we submitted our final source patch, we had spent over 30 man-hours between the three of us. I’ll have to put in a whole lot of time at work today to make up for the time I missed while I was in the lab. After all, rent is due in less than two weeks.
Somehow, I’ve found time to (almost) complete my 2007 tax returns, both federal and state. This is the first time I’ve had to file in multiple states. I was able to buy a copy of TurboTax for just $25, which I feel was totally worth not having to try and interpret Utah’s non-resident tax forms. Once my W-2 arrives from my summer job I can send everything in. Come on, refund!
The weather here in Provo hasn’t changed much we got some more snow yesterday (which I might have seen had I not been in the computer lab all day.) Some of the roads, particularly those south of campus, have been frozen over for so long that they now have a 1″ layer of compacted snow/ice covering even the most trafficked areas. Overall, it makes for a very interesting journey to and from school. Certainly one way to make sure you’re awake by the time you arrive …
